A great Pouilly Fumé, very mineral. Aside from the anecdotal aspect (parcel planted manually, with a crowbar), the soil of such hardness (flint) is rarely used for vines (ask the winemaker about the state of his back after planting!). It proves to be exceptional, as anticipated - and heavily inspired by the domaine Dagueneau, not so far away - after all...

The cuvée from the vineyard of Blondins, co-owned with the Troisgros family. It does not claim to be the best of the domaine, however, it proudly features on the menu of the family restaurant in Roanne, the local gastronomic institution rated 3* Michelin! Best enjoyed young at around 17 °C.

The small cuvée by Thierry Germain, made from purchased grapes from friends who are winemakers. A very nice entry-level wine!

90/100 RVF. The ancestor of "pet-nat" (for pétillant naturel) so prized today, as a "natural" alternative to sometimes heavily sulfited champagnes. An example of the best in this "no additives" category, thanks to the late Jacky Blot and his decades of experience, fortunately passed on to his children, to refine the quality!

The other cuvée mythique signed by Dagueneau. When sweet wine becomes a historical monument... Yquem better watch out! Since the 2015 vintage, likely due to an especially low alcohol content, the winemaker has freed himself from his Jurançon appellation and has labeled his bottles as "Vin de France". 94/100 RVF

91/100 Castaing/Parker. A typical pineau d'Aunis in 2022: light (11°) yet well-presented (youthful tannins, pepper). Still a bit tannic upon its release from the domaine in 2024... it will be perfect for Christmas once the tannins have softened! Les Quatre Piliers is a beautiful discovery. Valentin Desloges vinified his first vintage in 2021 (he had just...

A very lovely dry white from Loire, 100% chenin, fresh and tangy, characterized by white fruits, that will delight fans of accessible Vouvray. This is the first cuvée from the domaine, at an unbeatable price.

93/100 RVF. In white, the cream of the crop from the domaine des Roches Neuves. Long aging potential ahead.

95+/100 Castaing/Parker. It was very bold to propose a great 100% Sauvignon in its first vintage. A successful bet. This cuvée, rare and expensive, was built for the future and testified to the immense ambition of this young and talented winemaker who would make a name for himself... far from the more illustrious AOPs, like many other young talents of his...

This blend of Gamay (for indulgence) and Pinot Noir (for structure and elegance) is technically perfect. At this price, lovers of great "hidden gem" discoveries will not be disappointed! WARNING: For the environment, the domaine has decided to stop using aluminum capsules (purely aesthetic), but no worries, the wine is perfectly protected and the payment...

The other domaine of the Dagueneau family produces more than just a sweet white from Jurançon. The cuvée of dry white, vibrant and wonderfully spicy, is unmatched in the region... or anywhere else for that matter! Since the 2018 vintage, this cuvée has stepped away from the Jurançon appellation and is labeled as Vin de France.
