Domaine Lieubeau - Famille Lieubeau

Famille LIEUBEAU The Lieubeau estate has existed since the middle of the 19th century. Generation after generation, the know-how and experience is passed on, always with the same concern for excellence. It is here that we find the famous Muscadet Crus, the nec plus ultra of the AOP (Château-Thébaut, Clisson, Goulaine)

"A great wine begins with a beautiful grape". Following this adage, the Lieubeau's initiated the conversion to organic farming in 2015 and are now certified (organic + Terra Vitis, an association of sustainable viticulture led by "responsible" winemakers). The best practices are used to obtain perfectly healthy and ripe berries: The soils (grassed for part of the season) are ploughed, pruning is short, the winegrowers use trellising, leaf removal, and sorting all the grapes... among other things! The family has even developed its own weather station as well as a vineyard mapping tool in order to adapt the care to each plot.

The winemakers are proud of their region and respect their heritage, notably the maturing on lees of the famous "melon de Bourgogne" grape variety (after the delicate use of indigenous yeasts for fermentation to maintain the signature of each Cru), respecting precisely the biodiversity resulting from the efforts of previous generations.

The Lieubeau family thus produces a few rare cuvées from the oldest vines (isolated thanks to massal selection) located on the most beautiful terroirs, classified as "Crus".
