Trapet estate, among the most famous estate in Gevrey Chambertin.

jean-louis-trapet-bourgogne-gevrey-chambertinCreated in 1919, Trapet estate produces some very famous Gevrey Chambertin. Since 1995, Jean-Louis Trapet is at the head of the estate, which has 15 hectares, among the best located on Gevrey: 13.5 in Pinot Noir and 1.5 in Chardonnay.
Production is limited, and allocations are scarce. We are therefore proud to be able to offer some of these great wines.

Jean-Louis Trapet is one of those winemakers who know that "men go by and the land stays". It is therefore natural that he converted the estate to biodynamics. Adept of this philosophy, and not interventionist, he practices very light breeding so as not to distort the terroir.

This family estate, perpetuated from generation to generation, has become today a reference, even maybe THE reference in Cote-de-Nuits.

The wife of Jean-Louis, Andree Trapet, also produces wine but in Alsace. High-end biodynamic wines, the basis of the family philosophy. To discover imperatively!
