Attention:

The wines signed by Philippe Alliet all deserve a decanting a few hours before tasting, as the low level of sulfur used during vinification sometimes promotes the phenomenon of reduction upon opening the bottle (unpleasant aromas of cabbage, rotten egg), which of course disappears with aeration.

The acidities in the 2020 vintage were lower compared to those in 2022, rendering the wines of this vintage more accessible and straightforward. Indeed, with aromas of spices, dark berries and flowers, the 2020 Chinon L'Huisserie, picked on September 18, possesses a medium to full-bodied palate with a delicate, juicy core of fruit, powdery tannins and vertical acidities in the finish. Ethereal and elegant, it marries tension and charm to pleasing effect. DRINK DATE 2024-2040.

L'Huisserie is made from clay and flint soils, with relatively young vines. Aged 10% in new barrels, it will be easy to enjoy quickly, even though it has all the character to age 5 to 10 years.
