Domaine Sant Armettu "Elegante" red 2021

RVF Guide of the Best Wines of France 2024 (August 2023): 93/100. Favorite. Lightly extracted red, brilliant ruby. Elegante, that's the name of Grenache in Corsica, offers a bouquet of very refined, pure peonies and roses. These old vines on granitic sands deliver a wine of rare delicacy, airy, powdered, super elegant, so digestible; the oaky aging is barely perceptible, a wine ready to drink, for ten years and more.

TERROIR: The hillsides of the Gulf of Propriano composed of granitic sands.

GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Grenache.

HARVEST: Destemmed and sorted, cold pre-fermentation maceration between 12-16°C, light punching down then traditional vinification in large casks.

AGING: 12 months in ½ muid.

COLOR: Cherry color.

TASTING: The purity of the fruity aromas blends with juicy and velvety tannins. This straightforward and gourmet wine will be appreciated during chic lunches for discerning audiences.
