Domaine Pierre Girardin Echezeaux Grand Cru red 2021

Vintage : 2021

Grape variety : 100% Pinot Noir

Region : Côte de Nuits, plots located in the commune of Flagey Echezeaux between Vosne Romanée and Vougeot, lieu-dit "Les Treux".

Geology : clay, chalk, stony soil. North-east orientation.

Vinification : 50% whole bunches. Manual harvest. 16 months in barrel, 3 months in stainless steel tank. No fining or filtration. 50% new barrels

Tasting notes : Garnet red color. Vegetal nose (cut grass). Complex palate delivering a concentrated array of aromas: beautiful attack, notes of red fruits (strawberry, red cherry) followed by hints of licorice. Fresh and saline finish. Structured, vibrant, and mouthwatering wine, rich in flavors.

Peak drinking : 8 to 20 years
