Domaine Chapelle Santenay 1er cru "Les Gravières" 2022 dry white wine

Technical Sheet written by the domaine :

Beautiful golden color, pale gold, with great brilliance. Complex nose of dried fruits, with brioche notes and white flowers. The palate is dense and complex, with beautiful minerality. Best enjoyed within 3 to 5 years.

Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay

Date of vine planting: 2009

Density of vines / ha: 10,000

Exposure: Southeast, on slopes with a 10% incline.

Soil type: Clay-limestone, with the presence of white marls.

Vine management: Mechanical soil work to avoid the use of herbicides, focusing on the natural balance of the plant within each plot. Organic phytosanitary management, controlled by Bureau Véritas.

Yields (hl/ha): 40 hl/ha

Harvest method: Manual

Vinification and aging: Whole harvest, pressing without SO2, light settling, transfer to Burgundy barrels. Aging in barrels (20% new) for 12 months, with light bâtonnage.
