vins-de-savoieWines of Savoie

Wines from Savoie are not just for accompanying fondue or raclette in winter after a day of skiing!

With the proliferation of Michelin-starred restaurants and their demanding clientele throughout the Alps, local winegrowers have adapted to higher quality standards than ever before. Today, as proof of the dynamism of winegrowing in this region, the great wines of Savoie are widely recognised by guides and are exported far beyond Savoie.

The best estates do not have enough wine to meet demand, as connoisseurs are now passionate about certain vintages that are beautifully vinified and aged, sometimes from vines located on vertiginous slopes that are as heroic to work as those in Alsace or Côte-Rôtie.

The great wines of Savoie are also an inexhaustible source of inspiration for sommeliers, with local white grape varieties lending themselves very well to accompanying spicy Asian dishes, for example.

In short, a very particular grape variety, with a very approachable character that gives rise to wines that are well-rounded both on the nose and palate. It's surprising that this grape variety is so little known when tasting...

A very elegant and characteristic pinot noir, with well-ripened fruit (sour cherry, almost ripe) that would make many Burgundy wines blush (which would be worth much more, by the way!!!). A wine that showcases the oenological expertise of the domaine, with impeccable balance that is utterly seductive. Still a bit young in February 2026, the date of its...
