98/100 B+D. At the end of March 2023: the 2013 vintage has arrived! The cuvée is now called "Les Cistes" instead of "Clos des Cistes", under the Vin de France appellation and not "Coteaux du Languedoc". Indeed, the winemaker did not like the new appellation "Languedoc" (plain), which replaced "Coteaux du Languedoc" in 2011, so having chosen "Vin de France", she can no longer indicate the word "Clos" on her label. One of our regulations that makes foreigners laugh! No worries, neither the winemaker, nor the vines, nor the wine are changing; it’s still just as good!

RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2024  (August 2023): 93/100. "In 2013, Les Cistes appears more serene and smoother, with its roasted mocha character."

Bettane + Desseauve Guide 2023 (Dec. 2022): 98/100. It is one of the property's lowest volume vintages. Present but silky tannins, enveloping palate with a finish of brown and blonde tobaccos. A finish of rare softness.
