Domaine Berthier mixed Coteaux du Giennois "3 terroirs" dry white 2023

This mixed carton contains 6 bottles: 2 from each terroir presented below. A magnificent and thriving appellation, where you will discover three different facets through three cuvées from specific plots. Three variations of sauvignon blanc, which rival the most illustrious neighboring AOPs Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, or Menetou-Salon. A must-try!

Domaine Berthier Coteaux du Giennois "Terre de Silex" 2023

The cuvée Terre de Silex comes from a plot located in the commune of Saint-Père. The vines are planted on clay-limestone soils from the Cretaceous period. The unusual concentration of flint scattered across the soil gives the wine its subtle flintstone aromas. A gastronomic wine, complex, to be enjoyed between 10 and 12°C with refined dishes, sushi, tuna carpaccio, or a characterful cheese, before 2028. Tasting comment from the winemaker: "With a golden yellow color, the Cuvée Terre de Silex opens with a typical, refined nose blending the crunchy side of sauvignon with flint. On the palate, the attack is straight, tense, presenting a beautiful minerality, a great volume in the mouth, an incomparable presence…"

Domaine Berthier Coteaux du Giennois "Terre de Marne" 2023

The cuvée Terre de Marne comes from a plot located in Pougny. The soils have a particularity, the abundance of tiny oysters in the marls and marl-limestone of Pougny. A jovial wine, to be enjoyed among friends (at 10-12°C, before 2028). Perfect with an original dish, Japanese cuisine, or even to try with molecular cuisine. Tasting comment from the winemaker: "With a bright yellow color with green reflections, the cuvée Terre de Marne opens with a very pleasant nose, blending lychee, papaya with notes of grapefruit. On the palate, the attack is smooth, round, with a finish reminiscent of the roundness of the terroir…"

Domaine Berthier Coteaux du Giennois "Terre de Caillotte" 2023

The cuvée Terre de Caillotte comes from vines planted on the limestone terroirs of Pougny. The soils have a particularity, the abundance of small limestones, called "caillottes" in our region; The Villiers limestone from the Oxfordian period. The cuvée Terre de Caillotte will pair well with salmon bites, a fillet of Loire pikeperch, or simply to be enjoyed as an aperitif (around 10-12°C and before 2028). Tasting comment from the winemaker: "With a bright yellow color with green reflections, the Cuvée Terre de Caillotte opens with a nose full of elegance and refinement.
