RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2026 (Sept 2025): 91/100. The Corbières red expresses itself with finesse and restraint (on the nose) with a delicately structured body.

Our cuvée Corbières red reflects our vineyard and our work, the characteristic expression that wines can find in Fontjoncouse. It is a typical blend of grape varieties from the region, Grenache, Syrah & Carignan. With black fruits and a smoky minerality, we have crafted a concentrated yet smooth body.

Geology: Triassic soils, clay-limestone with great mineral diversity. Bipyramidal quartz, dolomites, travertines, spilites, etc.

Parcel: Selection from the semi-slopes of the two different valleys and the limestone plateau at 300 m altitude.

Grape varieties: 45% Syrah, 40% Grenache Noir, 15% Carignan.

Vinification:   
Short cold pre-fermentation maceration.
Fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
Co-fermentation of Syrah/Carignan with whole berries.
Extraction by light pumping over only.
Pressing at the end of alcoholic fermentation.
Blending of free-run and press wines to finish the sugars.
Racking and blending at the end of malolactic fermentation..

Aging: 10 months of aging in concrete tanks.
