Favorite and 93/100 RVF. A Pessac-Léognan that breaks away from the standards of the appellation, not aged in oak barrels for easier enjoyment from its youth. All finesse and freshness with lovely notes of red fruits. A pure delight, with the complexity of the AOP Pessac-Léognan added in!

The "poor relative" grape of Burgundy, overshadowed by chardonnay... yet what a delightful surprise when tasting this 2022! It is Sylvain Pataille who is restoring the nobility of aligoté a bit further north. Jean-Claude Rateau is not far away! A superb tension, a beautiful balance, in short, nothing to envy from the more "prestigious" grape varieties!
