Vignobles Berthier - Clément & Florian - Loire

We have once again tasted the entire range of wines from the Berthier brothers, based in Sancerre. The focus is on Coteaux du Giennois, the family’s stronghold, which is the least well-known appellation they produce… and perhaps also the best value for money in their extensive portfolio of AOPs, precisely because it is less well-known internationally. We’ve once again fallen for some new vintages, particularly suited to the season: Quincy white and Sancerre rosé in particular. It also marks the return of the successful mixed case, which allows you to discover the family’s three terroirs. The Sauvignon grape in all its forms, vinified with masterful skill by outstanding winemakers. The single-vineyard wines (Silex, Caillottes, Marne and Champ Jacquot du Giennois, of course, but also the Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre Champ Lopin and Chasseignes) live up to our expectations, surpassing the generic wines, with greater concentration and longer ageing potential. Whatever you choose, you simply cannot be disappointed with the Berthier brothers; they are masters of their craft and their wines are very, very good!
