RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2025 (August 2024): 91/100. Lansade 2022 offers more compact tannins and needs more time, but it has a lovely depth.

The Lansade family, in the 19th century, dedicated much energy and passion to Jonquières; evidenced by the silver medal received in 1889 at the Exposition Universelle de Paris and exports to Canada in 1870.

Appellation: AOC Terrasses du Larzac in Languedoc
Terroir: Clay-limestone pebbles
Grapes: 50% Old Carignan (80 years), 20% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 10% Cinsault
Vinification: Traditional with natural yeasts and separate for each grape variety, long macerations, temperature control during fermentation.
Aging: in stainless steel tank
Serving: 16-18°C. Can be kept for up to 6 years.

Tasting: The nose is filled with strawberry aromas that evolve into praline intertwined with cocoa scents.
Its fine and fruity palate (sour cherry) proclaims its indulgence by developing a medley of aromatic fragrances of spices and pepper.

Food pairing: Lamb stew with black olives, mustard pork tenderloin, duck breast with apricot, gratin cod.
