RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2022 (Sept. 2021): Favorite 94/100. Nose of scrubland and black pepper, broad, savory, and very rich palate, with surprising fruit and tannin maturity in the context of the vintage. An ambitious, very accomplished, colorful wine.

Technical Sheet prepared by the domaine:

TERROIR: Parcel selection on the granite slopes of Tizzano.

GRAPE VARIETIES: 60% Sciaccarellu, 20% Minustellu, 10% Nielluciu, 5% Elegante, 5% Carcaghjolu neru.

HARVEST: Destemmed, sorted in the vineyard and in the cellar, cold pre-fermentation maceration between 12-16°C, fermentation in large wooden vats with daily punching down and pumping over.

AGING: 30 months in demi-muids and 6 months in bottle.

COLOR: Deep garnet color.

TASTING: Ample and structured, this wine pushes all the boundaries. It combines the bright purity of an Ermite with the character of Myrtus. Burghese red will be appreciated alongside refined dishes and curious audiences.
