RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2025 (September 2024): Favorite and 92/100. Still marked by its aging, Intrépide remains a great chardonnay with depth and precise contours.

Technical sheet written by the domaine

Everything starts in the vineyard. Our goal: a cultivation that respects our terroir, our vines, and our grapes. We work the soil mechanically under the row. Bud thinning and leaf removal (...) are done manually.

This cuvée is vinified from chardonnay.

Intrépide Blanc is harvested manually in 25 kg crates, on a clay-limestone terroir.

Reception at the cellar is done on a sorting table where 6 people select the best grapes.

Pressing is done at low pressure using a pneumatic press.
Cold settling (9° C).
Vinification and fermentation in 500L barrels.
Racking at the end of fermentation.

Aging for 12 months in 500L barrels on lees. Filtration and bottling.

The mouthfeel is round and delicate yet lively. An exceptional wine, balanced with complexity and freshness that will delight you, as an aperitif, with scallops, sweetbreads, fish in white sauce, truffled dishes (from the domaine !).
