Our comments: The "little" Meursault from Romaric Chavy claims more of the citrus tension of the chardonnay than the richness brought by the terroir combined with aging in new barrels, which is rather reserved for the longer-aging wines of the domaine, the 1st crus "Les Charmes" or even the Puligny (village or Premier Cru). This Narvaux 2018 will gain in complexity (aromatic and organoleptic) over time.

Les Narvaux in Meursault are located at the very top of the slope, very steep, the soil is limestone and shallow.

Grape variety: Chardonnay

Soil: clay-limestone, very steep

Aging: 20% new barrels, aged 12 months

Tasting notes: Les Narvaux is an airy, lively, and balanced wine with aromas of white fruits, a nose of roasted almonds and a great length in the mouth. Mineral and energetic, it will require a few years in the cellar to fully open.
