At the very top of the Puligny-Montrachet hillside, steep, the plot grows on a very calcareous and rocky soil.
Area: 0.30 Ha
Vine age: 30 years
Grape variety: Chardonnay
Planting density: 10000
Soil: marl limestone
Aging: 20% new barrels, aged 12 months
Tasting notes: Finer than corpulent, Champs Gain is a subtle wine, on citrus, fresh and lively. It evolves delicately towards yellow fruits – well ripe – over time.
Vinification: Manual harvesting, 100% destemmed, vinification adapted to the vintage, pumping over, punching down, aging in vat.
