Château Pesquié Ventoux "découverte 2 terroirs" red 2018
ARTEMIA 2018 :
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Joe Czervinski, sept 2020) : 92-94/100. Impressive as a prospective blend taken from equal proportions of barriques, demi-muids and tanks, the 2018 Ventoux Artemia boasts exuberant notes of cherries and blueberries accented by assertive notes of cracked pepper. It's full-bodied, creamy and lush, then firms up just enough on the finish to think it will have a decade of longevity. Drink Date 2020-2030.
SILICA 2018 :
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Joe Czervinski, sept 2020) : 92-94/100. For the 2018 Ventoux Silica—the second vintage of this cuvée, which is 90% Grenache sourced from sandy soils—70% was aged in demi-muids, while the balance matured in concrete eggs. It's richer and fuller than the 2017, harmoniously mixing vanilla and cedar notes with ripe raspberries. It's full-bodied and creamy textured, finishing rich, chewy and long, with hints of licorice adding even more interest. It looks capable of aging for a decade or more. Drink Date 2020-2030.
