Camin Larredya, excellence in Jurancon

Jean-Marc Grussaute, a former rugby player in Pau, is today, along with Benjamin Dagueneau, the symbol of excellence in Jurançon.
In its 2017 edition, the RVF Guide of the Best Wines of France is awarded its 3rd (and ultimate) star, a level never reached by a winemaker in the Southwest!
Camin Larredya extends over 11 hectares. This "Camin" ("chemin" in local dialect) traces the way to excellence, both in dry white wine (yes, a Jurançon without residual sugar!) and in soft wine, thanks to the traditional varieties of Jurançon: Petit et Gros Manseng in large majority, then small curved, camaralet and lauzet to complete.

In 1988, after studying viticulture and oenology, Jean-Marc Grussaute arrived on the family vineyard to work alongside his mother. Very aware of organic farming, he obtained the certification Agrocert in 2007. The tillage is more earthy, more peasant and Jean-Marc Grussaute applies the method Herod and the consultation of the lunar calendar. The vine, on the other hand, is conducted in a more "gardenier" way with the multiplication of manual passages.

This respect for nature is reflected in the name of the wines. The vintages derive their name from the plot from which they come:
La Part Davant, which means "the eastern part" is precisely a dry Jurançon.
Costar Darrèr, which means "west side", is a very balanced softness.
In capcèu, or "at the zenith of the hill" is a cuvée 100% petit manseng, a reference in dessert wine.

96/100 RVF. An orange UFO for connoisseurs, straight out of the imagination of Jean-Marc Grussaute, who produced 700 bottles of this maceration wine that still contains 20 grams of sugar, for an absolutely unique balance. Exceptional and extremely rare, this wine is unlike any other. The winemaker claims that 2021 is an exceptional vintage.
