Domaine Camin Larredya Jurançon "Iranja" orange 2021 (50 cl, 3 bottles)

96/100 RVF. An orange UFO for connoisseurs, straight out of the imagination of Jean-Marc Grussaute, who produced 700 bottles of this maceration wine that still contains 20 grams of sugar, for an absolutely unique balance. Exceptional and extremely rare, this wine is unlike any other. The winemaker claims that 2021 is an exceptional vintage.

Domaine Camin Larredya Jurançon "Iranja" orange wine 2021 (50 cl)

RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2026 (sept. 2025) : 96/100The vintages follow one another and certainly do not resemble each other, but the Grussaute signature remains. If it must be qualified, finding a common thread, it is certainly the fullness, of taste, of embodiment. The difference in profile of the terroirs from which the dry wines originate is materialized in the wines. And then there is the Iranja, the macerated version of the Petit Manseng from Au Capceu. The 2021 showcases this reddish, squirrel-like color, so distinctive. It overflows with aromas and flavors, in a completely different register from that of Petit Manseng as we know it: dried fig, date, bitter orange, heated terracotta, immortelle... The acidity (characteristic of the vintage, more pronounced than in the previous version, 2020) and the tannicity stand up to the aromatic power; on the palate, the explosion is heroic. It is the wild man of the Pyrenees!
