Located on the south slope of Nuits Saint Georges, our two plots are blended during vinification for a total area of 1.8 hectares. This Premier Cru extends halfway up the slope between 240 and 260 meters in altitude, where there is a great complexity of soil, from exposed rock to scree from the top of the slope. With vines averaging 50 years old, the Premier Cru Les Pruliers is a powerful and structured wine that has excellent aging potential.

The vineyard: This plot benefits from an ideal location and sunlight in the heart of the Nuits vineyard. Sometimes young (15 years), sometimes older (70 years for the oldest), these vines give body to wines with aromas of wild fruits, game, imbued with a lot of minerality.

The winemakers: with the regularity of a metronome, Pierre, Christian, and Grégory, the new generation of winemakers, produce wines that are honest, direct, and deep.

The domaine: this premier cru, a monopoly of the domaine Gouges with its 3.5 hectares of vineyard, excellently expresses the typicity of the wines from the Côte Nuits and its rows of vines clinging to the slopes: wines of great finesse, developing beautiful bouquet qualities.

Blend: a blend of several plots (totaling 1.70 hectares) located south of the village of Nuits, and another, situated at the top of the slope, called "Jacquinot," ideally placed above the premier crus. Well-structured, these wines wonderfully illustrate the typicity of Nuits, both in length and power.

The wine: Les Pruliers is reduced but sumptuous and has phenomenal energy.
