Halfway between Premeaux and Nuits-Saint-Georges, Les Saint Georges is undoubtedly the most renowned cru of the commune. Ideally positioned at the edge of the slope, with an east-facing exposure, the vineyard thrives here on a great diversity of soils. Les Saint-Georges wines are complex and elegant, marked by the purity of the fruit, the finesse of the tannins, and the nobility of the cru.

The vineyard: the 1.8 hectares of this parcel benefit from an ideal location and sunlight in the heart of the Nuits vineyard. Sometimes young (15 years), sometimes older (70 years for the oldest), these vines give life to wines with aromas of wild fruits and game, imbued with a lot of minerality.

The domaine: this premier cru monopoly of the domaine Gouges, with its 3.5 hectares of vineyard, expresses excellently all the typicity of the wines from the Côte Nuits and its rows of vines clinging to the slopes: wines of great finesse, developing beautiful bouquet qualities.

Blend: a blend of several parcels (a total of 1.70 hectares) located south of the village of Nuits, and another, situated at the top of the slope, called "Jacquinot," ideally placed above the premier crus. Well-structured, these wines wonderfully illustrate the typicity of Nuits, both in length and power.
