Domaine d'Aupilhac Languedoc Montpeyroux "La Boda" dry white 2020

93/100 RVF. The best of both worlds! The great white from domaine combines the finest juices from two complementary terroirs: the clay-limestone slopes and their scree of blue marls + the limestone mother rock of the volcanic amphitheater of Cocalières. A great white from Languedoc!

Carignan Blanc, Clairette (d’Aupilhac) and Rolle, Roussanne, Marsanne (de Cocalières)

Soil: A blend of two terroirs: Aupilhac, with its clay-limestone hillside terraces and scree on blue marls. Cocalières, a volcanic amphitheater on limestone bedrock.

Vinification:
Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in demi-muids without added yeast, fining, or filtration for 18 months.

Tasting:
Intense, complex, and mineral. A structured wine that retains the freshness of Aupilhac grapes and the aromatic intensity of those from Cocalières.
