RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2023 (Sept. 2022): 94/100. The work of cabernet franc finds its punctum in Sidérolithe 2019 which, after aeration, presents an athletic and refined ensemble; in its mineral tannin, the limestone reveals itself.

Sidérolithe is a new micro-cuvée from a single vineyard born in 2017. The plot is located on siderolithic clays, with a high iron content, which give an unparalleled velvety texture to the cabernet franc. Sidérolithe is the sister of another cuvée made from cabernet franc, Carmenet, born in 2016 and from the characteristic limestone terroir of Cahors.


Grape variety: 100% Cabernet franc cultivated in biodynamics

Soil: Siderolithic red clay (very rich in iron), a magical source of the wine's velvety texture.

Aging: 20 months in barrels of 2 wines.
