Domaine Cosse-Maisonneuve "Carmenet" red 2019

Winemaker's comment: Cabernet franc, a member of the carmenet family and its wildest offspring, is distinguished by its legendary finesse.
The vines, uncultivated with sovereign laziness, benefit from an extraordinary diversity of indigenous flora, populated by an equally varied fauna. In return, the whole offers us on a (limestone) plateau a quality of grapes that is homogeneous and balanced, quite interesting to elevate... Unfiltered, unfined.

Grape variety: 100% Cabernet franc

Age of the vines: between 25 and 30 years.

Terroir:
Clay-limestone plateau of the Coteaux du Quercy.

Vinification:
Harvest destemmed, not crushed.
Vinifications take place in concrete tanks with temperature control.
Manual punch downs.

Aging:
In barrels of one and several wines, bottled without fining or filtration
