The winemaker was unable to produce his 2024 Viognier due to the weather, so he surprised us by bringing out a few bottles of 2018 that he had kept personally because he believed they had great aging potential. We tasted it together in October 2025, and it was a true delight! Lovers of Condrieu (all things considered) will not be disappointed, especially at this price! Limited quantities. Please note, this 2018 no longer has the freshness of a young, lively, and vigorous Viognier from a very recent vintage, that's clear, but its evolved aromas, far from oxidation, are superb, and its presence on the palate won us over.

Domaine Curtat "Viognier" dry white 2018

Please note, this 2018 vintage released from the winemaker's cellars in autumn 2025 obviously no longer has the freshness of the fruit of a young, lively, and vigorous Viognier from a very recent vintage, but its evolving aromas, far from oxidation, are superb, and its presence on the palate has won us over.

Hand harvesting
Fermentation in barrel at low temperature

In barrel on lees without racking

Duration: 11 months
