Bergerie de l'Arcade - Gilles and Pascal Soulas
La Bergerie de l'Arcade is an estate that, despite having no communication, has been the subject of much talk since the death of Laurent Vaillé at La Grange des Pères (he was the one who helped them get started in 2016).
It is said that brothers Gilles and Pascal Soulas are his worthy successors, even though they have found their own style. First, through their ultra-discreet, perfectionist, and hardworking nature. Then, due to the geography, as they are also located on the heights of the village of Aniane (in Pouzols). And finally, most importantly, because their six-hectare estate (with syrah, grenache, and mourvèdre vines) allows them to work entirely by hand, almost picking each grape individually. Their goal is to produce unique wines, haute couture wines.
The harvest is fully destemmed and aged for two years in oak barrels before being released to the market.
