Hugo and Pauline also produce a very balanced Condrieu focused on "freshness." It comes from superb Viogniers purchased from a domaine recommended by their father. More accessible, but what quality for a first vintage! One can easily guess that their father has been closely involved in this :-)

In the area of Saint-Pierre-de-Bœuf, Hugo and Pauline's Condrieu takes root on the mythical granitic hillsides of the northern Rhône whites. They consider themselves fortunate to have worked these vineyards since their first
vintage to produce a fresh, taut, contemporary Condrieu.
On the palate, this Condrieu wonderfully combines tension, aromatic freshness, and tannic structure. It is also a wine for aging (ten years), which has its place on more gastronomic tables.
Grape variety: 100% viognier
Soils: granitic hillsides. Shallow, stony sands over dark biotite or light muscovite granites.
Vinification: direct pressing. Cold settling for 12 to 24 hours.
Aging: 12 months in barrels (228 l) and demi-muids (500-600 l). Racking and blending 6 weeks before bottling.
