RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2020 (August 2019): 18/20. Dominated by a beautiful kumquat support, with linden in the finish that marks the wine with a certain elegance.

Bettane and Desseauve Guide 2020 (August 2019): 18/20. Peak drinking window 2024-2037.

Revue du Vin de France - Special vintage 2017 (June 2018): 17-18/20. Aerial texture, fine and precise acidity. Citrus and linden notes follow one another, leading to an endless mineral finish. A model of purity.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Stephan Reinhardt, Oct 2018): 92+/100. Pure and stony on the nose, the 2017 Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg is intense, tightly woven, dry, concentrated and dense on the palate. The finish is salty, tight and long but also fruity. Very promising, but it needs time. Bottled in August, tasted October 2018. Drink date 2022-2033.
