Champagne Gosset "Grande Réserve" Brut:

La Revue du Vin de France (Dec. 2024 - Jan. 2025): 90/100. Quite fresh notes of pinot. A hint of reserve wines adds volume, the juice shows good quality, even if it is slightly masked by the dosage. The liqueur wraps a bit too much. Delicate bubbles.

Guide RVF des Meilleurs Vins de France 2021 (Nov. 2020): 92/100. Grande Réserve sets the tone: it is a very digestible and elegant wine.

Guide RVF des Meilleurs vins de France 2020 (Aug. 2019): heart stroke ♥ and 16.5/20. The style of the house's wines is well embodied by the brut Grande Réserve with its pronounced vinosity. The wine is intense but also tense on the finish. It will not fear a few years of aging.

Guide Bettane et Desseauve 2020 (Aug. 2019): 16/20. Marked by the strength and intensity of the great blacks from the Ay region. Fruit and floral notes, fullness and volume, in short, an impeccable, intense, and vinous brut. Food and wine pairings: pasta and risottos with mushrooms, seafood, roast chicken, shellfish, canapés, and petits fours.

Guide Hachette des vins 2020: 3 ★/3 (Exceptional wine) and heart stroke ♥. This cuvée has won unanimous acclaim, and this is not the first time. Built on the 2013 harvest, it displays a pale gold color with fine, persistent bubbles. Discreet on the nose, it reveals subtle aromas: wheat, white bread, butter and brioche, mandarin and other citrus fruits. Its mousse gives a creamy and silky texture on the palate that builds in intensity, offering an exceptionally long finish. Elegant, smooth, and full, a champagne that is all finesse without lacking substance.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (William Kelley, Sept. 2021): 92/100. Aromas of crisp orchard fruit, pear and apricot, mingled with hints of fresh bread and pastry, introduce the latest release of Gosset's NV Brut Grande Réserve, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy but incisive wine that's deceptively generous but also structured to reward some bottle age.
