Domaine Fontchêne "Léon" dry white 2025

Technical sheet written by the domaine:

Soil type: Clay-loam, rounded pebbles

Grape varieties: Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Chardonnay

Vinification / ageing: Hand-harvested into 15 kg crates. Whole-bunch pressing. Natural settling and alcoholic fermentation variety by variety in 228-litre barrels (50%) and stainless steel tanks (50%) at controlled temperature. Aged on fine lees for 6 to 12 months with regular bâtonnage of the barrels.

Tasting: A golden hue and a highly expressive nose of yellow fruit, honey and acacia blossom. Oak-barrel ageing brings roundness and creaminess to the mid-palate, before a tender, flavourful finish. A white wine full of fragrance and charm.
