Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (S. Reinhardt, oct. 2021) : 89/100. Lambert's 2019 Saumur Champigny Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg Montée des Roches opens with a beautifully fresh and spicy, still slightly reductive bouquet of black berries, raspberries and dark cherries intertwined with wild underwood notes. Silky textured and perfectly round on the palate, this is a medium-bodied (in contrast to the 2018, even lifted), juicy and elegant Cabernet Franc with fine tannins, ripe and delicate acidity and a stimulatingly tangy as well as iodine, licorice and raspberry finish. This is still young, but it's a lovely balanced red from the Montée des Roches parcel in Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg. Tasted in April 2021. Drink date 2022-2028.
