At the bottom of the Vézelay hill, just south of Chablis, we fell under the spell of Marie Giraud and Yoann Defert's wines at Domaine des Coeuriots. Less than 10 hectares of organic vines: 8 hectares of Chardonnay for the two AOP Vézelay cuvées we fell in love with, and 2 hectares of Pinot Noir for an equally enchanting red Burgundy. An unpretentious domaine whose cuvées offer immediate pleasure, with great depth and a perfect balance between mineral freshness and ripe grapes. Coeuriots is the flagship domaine of this new AOP, born in 2022, and we've not heard the last of it, judging by the quality of the wines we've discovered. Here's a nugget with an impressive pleasure/price ratio. Extremely rare in Burgundy! Lovers of good Burgundy Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, go for it !
