Cuvée from one of the hill’s two finest lieux-dits.
Comprising 10% Syrah from Les Greffieux (around thirty years old), and 90% from Le Méal (in the heart of the slope), made up of 90% Syrah planted in 1927 and 1928, and 10% Marsanne and Roussanne around sixty years old. Grapes destemmed or not depending on the vintage, aged in barrels for 18 to 24 months, with no fining or filtration.
Tasting: inky colour, delicate bouquet of violet, blackcurrant and musk. Powerful yet harmonious tannins, prodigious length. This is a serious wine for cellaring, capable of improving for fifteen to twenty years.
