Les Vignes Oubliees "Autour du Cinsault" red 2023
90/100 RVF."It has everything of a great wine": It impresses Alain Chameyrat (En Magnum / Bettane + Desseauve). A cuvée aimed at proving that cinsault can produce very great red wines, almost on its own (70%, with 30% syrah, grenache, and carignan to complement). WARNING: For the environment, the domaine has decided to no longer use aluminum capsules (purely aesthetic), but rest assured, the wine is perfectly protected and the payment of taxes (represented by the Marianne now mandatory) is duly made!

Les Vignes Oubliées "Autour du Cinsault" red 2023
RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2026 (Sept 2025): 90/100. With its dominant old cinsault in goblet supported by grenache, syrah, and carignan, the Languedoc is rooted in its landscape and terroir, with deep tannins and earthy, limestone notes.
In Magnum (Bettane + Desseauve online, February 12, 2019): regarding the cuvée, without a specific vintage:
Alain Chameyrat fell for the cuvée "Autour du cinsault," domaine Les Vignes Oubliées, Languedoc. The cinsault vinified in red is making a grand return, and it’s excellent news.
A handful of the best winemakers in the Languedoc, unfortunately too few, are rediscovering the virtues of cinsault, an old grape variety that has been used to make large quantities of rosé, sometimes good. Vinified in red, it is undoubtedly the quintessential thirst-quenching wine, and the ease and pleasure it provides can be combined with surprising depth when well handled. Jean-Baptiste Granier produces one of the most exciting versions. Delicious finish, floral, with red fruits and licorice. The tactile sensations are reminiscent of great pinot noirs from Burgundy. It has everything of a great wine, except the price.
