Tasting: Shimmering violet robe with red highlights. Intense aromatic expression of dark cocoa, liquorice and Havana cigar, enriched by notes of plum and damson with accents of advanced ripeness. On the palate, fruit and meringue pastry cream dominate. The attack is fleshy and generous. Very fine-grained tannins precisely structure this wine, whose breadth on the palate is impressive, leaving a voluptuous sensation on the finish.

Cellaring potential: 15 to 20 years.

Soils: Quaternary clay-limestone. Rounded pebbles, filtering soil.

Yields: between 10 and 20 Hl / Hectare

Blend: 50% Syrah, 50% Grenache (vieilles vignes of 85 years in gobelet)

Vinification: Traditional method, pigeage. Aged in oak barrels for 24 to 30 months

Serving temperature: 16°-19°C

Food pairing: Red meat, woodcock with porcini mushrooms, shoulder of lamb.
