Domaine Richaud Côtes du Rhône "Les Garrigues" red 2024

Grapes: Blend of 50% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Carignan, 5% Counoise, and 5% Mourvèdre. The former cuvée "Les Galets" renamed "Les Garrigues" 2024 is made from grapes located on the terroir of Garrigues, Carré, Canarde, and Truffières. Located in the plains, these plots are the hottest and driest of the Domaine.


Vines and yield: The average age of the vines is 30 years. The Garrigues area consists of red clay, limestone, and rolled pebbles.
The rolled pebbles serve to continuously redistribute the sun's heat to the vines, which gives concentration and richness to the grapes. The yield on these plots is on average 30 hl/ha.


Aging: Aging in concrete tanks only for 10 months. Natural vinification (without additives, fining, or filtration) and sulfiting at a rate of 1.5 g/hl, only at the time of bottling.
Stored at a stable temperature in an underground cellar until marketing.

Tasting: Deep red color, bright with ruby reflections. The aromatic profile reveals notes of jammy red fruits, black olive, and anise, reflecting the typicity of the Terroir of Garrigues in Cairanne.
The palate is indulgent, with expressive fruit, highlighted by ample and silky tannins.
Wine to be enjoyed within 3 years (2028).
