Tasting comments from the domaine : Brilliant ruby red color, notes of small red fruits, slender body, lively and flavorful finish.

The "Côte de Rouffach" is one of the 11 recognized communal appellations in Alsace to date. It is a terroir favorable to the grape varieties riesling, pinot gris, gewurztraminer, and pinot noir.

Grape variety: 100% pinot noir

Terroir: Côte de Rouffach. The slopes of the Rouffach region are characterized by exceptional sunshine. The soil is marl-limestone with layers of loess, deposited by winds descending from the Vosges peaks. The richness of the soil gives the wines a typical richness and a greedy character.

Average age of the vines: 40 years

Harvest: Manual in 20 kg crates

Vinification: Maceration with 20% whole grapes. Aging in 500-liter barrels (20% new wood)

Harvest date: September 5, 2023

Residual sugars: less than 1 gram / liter

Acidity: 5.4 grams / liter

Alcohol: 12.5 %

Cellaring potential: Until 2033

Food pairing suggestion: Its fruitiness and soft tannins pair very well with grilled red meats or convivial dishes.
