"Due to a terrible frost devastating different areas of his vineyard, Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau decided to combine his harvest into a single cuvée called XXI. After a sunny vintage with exotic notes in 2020, which is in great shape today, 2021 returns to a fresher balance, with noble vegetal notes that have become rare in recent years. Nevertheless, this XXI draws an extremely flavorful richness, well-nourished by meticulous oak aging (barrels, demi-muids). A delicate texture, supported by beautiful bitterness. Patience. As usual, this Sauvignon will be quite restrained in its youth. It will need five to six years to relax and open up. There is no doubt it will evolve serenely for more than fifteen years."
