Domaine de Bellivière Jasnières "Les Rosiers" soft white 2020
RVF Guide to the Best Wines of France 2023 (Sept. 2022): 91/100. Les Rosiers, with a limestone texture, pure, sculpted by a finish with a vegetal bitterness brought about by the vintage.
Technical sheet written by the domaine:
An emblematic wine of the Domaine, Les Rosiers is a cuvée blend that reflects the diversity of geological variations of the terroirs from the degradation of the parent rock/ tuffeau chalk. It embodies the evolution of our choices in viticulture as well as a fierce battle for the acceptance of sugars in its taste balance. This balance is linked solely to the quality of demanding viticulture alongside the manifestation of a benevolent Nature. It aims to spark the curiosity of wine lovers as its styles lend themselves to multiple pairings, from the most classic to the most exotic. Since the creation of the Domaine, it has also embodied the refinement of expressing a unique terroir, at the table thanks to the talent of many chefs who have agreed to contemplate the most subtle pairings.
2020, after four years of "lean years," will remain for us a blessed year: aside from another very dry summer, the conditions for the emergence and development of vegetation were magnificent.
