Le Petit Vin d'Avril red, which we are offering this year, displays beautiful maturity and structure with good acidity and aromas of small red fruits, cherry, blackcurrant; very balanced. It is a medium-aging wine that you can enjoy over the next few years.

Le Petit Vin d'Avril red is a table wine made from vines located at the edge of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, along the Rhône. We treat these wines with the same rigor as our appellation wines, and for one-third of the volume, we practice aging in large casks. The average yield per hectare is 30 to 35 Hl.

Grape composition of the domaine (variable depending on the vintage):

• 30% grenache
• 20% syrah
• 10% mourvèdre
• 15% cabernet sauvignon
  
• 15% merlot
• 10% marselan caladoc

Vines: 
Average age of the vines: 30 years
Area: 4 hectares
Training: Cordon de Royat and Gobelet
Manual harvesting

Vinification:
Classic, harvested, crushed, destemmed. Maceration for about 20 days.
Aging in large casks for part of the wine for 12 months.

Le Petit Vin d'Avril is bottled at the end of January, and for this year, it consists of 2/3 of the 2019 production and 1/3 of the blend from the previous year that has aged for a year in wood.
It is a fruity, concentrated, well-structured wine that can also be aged for a few years.
