16/20 RVF. Excellent Bordeaux Supérieur located on the edge of the Margaux appellation, neighboring Château Dauzac (classified growth in Margaux). A superb vintage 2016, less powerful than 2015 but with more finesse. Despite the very low yields due to frost, 2016 is thus concentrated and has a remarkable balance in Médoc. The winemaker even admits that he prefers it to his sought-after 2015!

La Revue du Vin de France (March 2020): ranked n°2 in the "Bordeaux de Gastronomie" selection, in an article by Yohan Castaing titled "Good deals: enjoy these beautiful Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieurs at great prices". This 2016 receives a score of 16/20, just below the highest score of the 356 samples tasted for this article, 16.5/20... we are close to the top position!

Domaine : 15 hectares, of which 12.5 hectares are planted.

Soil: "Dry palus" and siliceous clay.

Plant density: 5000 vines/hectare, averaging 21 years old.

Grapes: 65% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vineyard work: Mechanical, without herbicide or insecticide since 1996.

Alcoholic fermentation: 20/25 days at 28°C, temperature control by trickling.

Aging: 14 months, alternating between French oak and stainless steel tanks, then a minimum of 2 years in bottles at the château.
