Castaing, juin 2024) : 93/100. The 2019 Saumur Champigny Le Grand Clos, a clay-limestone terroir, offers up aromas of ripe dark wild berries, cassis, spices, licorice and pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and dense, it’s layered and textured with powdery tannins and a long, mineral, slightly saline finish. It matured for 16 months in 600-liter barrels and used barrels. DRINK DATE 2024-2034.
