The 2017 Brouilly La Croix des Rameaux ripens slowly in the evening sun, and it’s one of Lapalu’s most lavish, sun-kissed wines, wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, ripe cherries, mulberries, licorice and flowers. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, rounded and ample, with a warm, gourmand profile. Blind, this is one 2017 that could pass for a 2015. Drink 2018-2023.
