Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Neal Martin - Nov. 2017) : 88-90/100. The 2016 Marsannay L'Ancestrale offers ripe maraschino, tangerine and tomato vine scents on the nose. There is fine detail here. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, moderate depth with dark fruit seeping up toward the finish, a touch of tobacco and graphite lingering on the aftertaste. Fine, although I prefer the 2015 L'Ancestrale by comparison. Apogée : 2018-2023
