From a site near Lancié that's characterized by soils rich in clay and cobbles, the 2018 Morgon Montpelais is more reserved than the Corcellette, unwinding to reveal notions of cassis, dark chocolate and dried flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, rich and voluptuous, with a blockier, more structured profile. Drink 2021-2035.
