The 2018 Saint-Romain Sous Roches has turned out beautifully, mingling aromas of plums and wild berries with hints of undergrowth, peonies and spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, it's bright and lively, with a crunchy core of fruit and chalky but refined structuring tannins. This excellent wine will reward at least a year or two of bottle age with real plenitude and expression. Drink date 2022-2035
