Notes of flowers, currants, pepper, underbrush and meaty dark fruits all define Gerin's 2014 Côte Rôtie La Landonne, a tiny-production cuvée (800 bottles) of 100% Syrah that was completely destemmed and aged all in new barrels. It has medium to full-bodied richness and a layered, silky texture, with beautiful purity of fruit and building, fine tannin, its oak component pushed completely into the background. It's another gorgeous wine from this estate. Drink 2016-2024.
