Domaine Marcel Lapierre Morgon 2016 JEROBOAM


Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Neil Martin, août 2017) : 90/100. The 2016 Morgon with sulfur includes 2.8 grams per liter this year. The bouquet is similar to the Non-Sulphité version, perhaps with the fruit a little darker with a touch of blood orange. The palate is very well balanced with a rounded texture, the acidity lending tension and sharing the purity of the Non-Sulphité version on a harmonious finish, with just a hint of spice lingering on the aftertaste. To be frank, there is not a great deal of difference between the two cuvées this year, so take you pick depending upon your aversion to sulfur. Drink 2017-2027.
